Favourite Pins #2 and French Toast Cubes

I'm now officially an obsessed pinner on pinterest, (you can find me here). I can no longer imagine the lives of others who live without. It's such a great way to store ideas and inspiration just flows through people's pictures and boards. It's something so personal, it's like everything you love is stored in one place, I would be content if I could spend hours just browsing through my own pictures I've pinned from others. It's a great invention. So I'd just like to show you some of my favourites, it'll just be in the food category so see this as a visual to-do baking/cooking list and also photography inspiration for me. All images are not mine and links to recipes and original authors are linked within the images.
// peach frangipane tart
// caramelised phyllo and pumpkin marshmallow napoleons
// chocolate avocado mousse
// pistachio pound cake
// lemon polenta cakes
// polenta-crusted roast potatoes with rosemary and garlic

// ginger miso noodles
// swedish buns
// poached pear crumble
// parmesan baked tomatoes

I think everyone is keen as a bean to try these recipes out like me now? In the meantime, this morning, I had some slices of bread that were on the verge of staleness. As much as I like nutella, or the kaya jam that my cousin from Indonesia brought for my family that here mum made, I just didn't feel like eating stale bread. So what did I do? Made french toast. So, I usually don't really like french toast, well that's when my mum makes it which means she never puts enough sugar in the egg mixture! But when I take french toast matters into my own hands... you see, that's a different matter.

I cubed the slices of bread beforehand so it can soak more of the sweet egg mixture I love. Then just served it with some fresh strawberries, icing sugar and ahem some maple syrup. I don't really know what the 'proper' french toast recipe is but I just beat up one egg with one tablespoon and a half of sugar and added around 3 tablespoons of milk.

Have a great start to the week! x
